Summer school in solid state lasers

This summer Sofia University OSA Student Chapter will organize a series of lectures and practical seminars on the topic of solid state lasers and how to work in a laboratory for solid state lasers.

They are oriented mainly for undergraduate students with interest in lasers and their applications!

The lectures will be oriented in basic knowledge in lasers, and solid state lasers in particular, laser safety, basic knowledge in specific software and many more. The lecturers will be mainly some of our members (graduate students), but we might also invite some professors from the department of Quantum Electronics in our Faculty of Physics. Those lectures will take place in few weeks starting July 16-th 2012. After that the students will make a few practical seminars on simple solid state lasers and can receive small tasks to apply their new knowledge.

    Welcome if you are interested!
