Typical configurations and stacking of the VRS-8x4 and ARS-8x2 devices

Audio follows Video Router (stackable in pairs VRS-ARS-devices) – PC control: In the depicted configuration the whole system is controlled by the host PC under the control of the supplied GUI interface program. The software supports up to 4 stacked pairs VRS-8x4 + ARS-8x2. The “Audio”-checkbox in the Control Window of the software has to be checked for correct operation.

Audio follows Video Router – Keyboard control: In the depicted situation the control over the system is accomplished from the supplied keyboard PVRS-1. Stacking of more than one pair of Video-Audio devices will usually not be implemented, unless the identical operation of all stacked pairs is desired.

Independent Video or Audio Stacks – usually PC control: In this case all devices in the stack are from the same type – Video Routing Systems VRS-8x4 or Audio Routing Systems ARS-8x2. The control is usually performed through the host PC, as in the case of the keyboard control all devices will be loaded with the same configuration. Up to 4 devices can be controlled through the GUI application software, supplied with the system. The “Audio”-checkbox has to be not checked in the depicted configuration. In the case only Audio Routers are connected in the stack, the checkbox “Audio” has to be unchecked again – it is only meaningful to enable it in the Audio-follow-Video configuration.
