The Faculty of Physics, or FzF, was established in 1904 and has since become the formative environment and research ground for some of Bulgaria’s brightest minds in science.

FzF has more than 540 students in bachelor, master and PhD programs today, continuing a long tradition of raising researchers who explore our world from atomic to cosmic scales.

World-class science

We are not just an institute of education. Our students are given the opportunity to begin a research career at light speed thanks to the high-intensity research profile of the Faculty, and our collaborations with leading national and global scientific organizations.
